In a world that pulls you in a thousand directions, cacao brings you home to your heart.

Chocolate in its most natural, most nutritious and most delicious form.

Diane and Gavin

The relentless pace of modern life is overwhelming, and constant rushed mornings leave us disconnected from ourselves.

At Cacao Love, we believe radical, heart-led living shouldn’t be a luxury for those with time to spare.

With a morning cup of ceremonial cacao, you’ll begin with a few moments that belong to you, and feel more presence, more joy and more connection throughout your day.

Cacao stimulates the cardiovascular system, giving a full body high without the anxious buzz of coffee.

  • Reduce Your Stress

Cacao stimulates the release of endorphins, which calm the body's stress response and act as a powerful and natural anti-depressant.

  • Improve Your Focus

Cacao stimulates the production of dopamine, the neurotransmitter that aids mental concentration, focus and the cultivation of positivity towards life.

Ángel Pedro Valerio, Asháninka leader

"I ask that blessings fall upon everyone who drinks our cacao, so that the blessings of our forest plantations can continue to support us. May our brothers and sisters continue to be imbued with more strength in their search for wellbeing with cacao. Pasonki"

Ángel Pedro Valerio

Asháninka leader, president of CARE, an organisation that represents 23 Indigenous communities, some living in voluntary isolation.

Cacao Love is proudly Asháninka grown.

We have personal, direct and ongoing relationships with the farmers who tend the orchards that produce our cacao. Created in small forest clearings, these remote villages are located six hours up river from the nearest town of Satipo, in the Junín province of Peru.

Self-governing communities

The Asháninka are largest Indigenous people of the Peruvian Amazon. They are organised as a network of autonomous communities, a political structure that has sustained their resilience across centuries.

Sacred plant medicine

Central to traditional healing in Asháninka culture is the use of sacred plant medicines, including ayahuasca, coca and tobacco.

Diverse ecosystem

The Junín National Reserve protects over 53,000 hectares of high-altitude wetlands, hosting diverse wildlife, migratory birds, insects, and native frogs.

Located in the Central Highlands

Junín is a high-altitude province located in the central highlands of Peru. It sits at an elevation of over 4,100 metres and is home to Lake Junín, the largest lake in Peru.

Ceremonial Grade Cacao is chocolate in its most natural, most nutritious and most delicious form. This means it is vegangluten-free, and free from added sugars. If this is your first time experiencing cacao, you’ll find our video recipes super easy follow, ensuring you enjoy a sensational drink, every time!

Not all cacao is ethically sourced, and one of the things we value about Cacao Love is that from seed to ceremony, we work only with indigenous growers on family-owned plots of land. Our cacao is grown as part of a diverse forest ecosystem and the families we work with are able to live entirely from their forests in the Central Highlands of Peru. For these growers, our purchases contribute towards a truly regenerative economy: sharing profits, harvests, and economic gain with those in the community.
