Collection: Cacao Love Peru or Ecuador?

We are overjoyed to be sharing a new cacao alongside our Peruvian medicine offering: an ancient Ecuadorean variety, harvested with love by indigenous Quechua families in the Amazonian region of Tena.

But what's the difference between the two? 

Cacao Love Peru is our original offering: deep, delicious and heart-opening. It's well suited for ceremonies, meditation and stillness in nature. It's easy to prepare and melts into a sensuously smooth elixir - perfect for your first encounter with the spirit of cacao.

Cacao Love Ecuador is our newest offering, and we are honoured to be entrusted as the guardians of the harvest, as this cacao leaves the forest for the very first time. It's floral, energising and expansive - well suited for ecstatic dance, nature walks and erotic explorations with oneself or another! This medicine bears the gift of naturally occurring variance in texture, or ‘grumos,’ as the grains, ripples and nibbles that swirl through the block are lovingly referred to in the forest. These grumos mean that it's more difficult to prepare on the stove - but a few minutes in a blender gives a silky smooth elixir every time!
